Why is there a membership fee?
Answer:
There are a few reasons I decided to make this place a paid membership.
1) To stop the bots and spammers from taking over.
2) I never want HackTown becoming too big and overwhelming for myself. If there are too many members communicating with me on the daily it becomes unmanagable and stressful. We all lose from that experience. Creating a barrier to entry is needed to control the influx of people per month and helps greatly to deter the non-serious people. You need to consider I'm slowly writing other courses, living my life, going on drug binges, and blah blah blah so this can't be a full-time job for myself. To make the point. You are at a moment in time with a unique opportunity to learn from my cybercriminal madness experience as long as HackTown remains online and I'm still breathing.
3) The revenue generated from membership fees goes directly back into the community by ensuring the products offered here are relevant and up to date.
